#5 Der Weg zur Philosophischen Fakultät / The way to the Faculty of Philosophy

Cry me a river.

Today I made my way to the Faculty of Philosophy to attend my first class, the Environmental Psychology course. I was really hoping to find the room – the only indication I had in the timetable was:

Rooms: 015 (60) (BS).

I clicked on these cryptic signs, which got me nowhere. What did BS stand for? Probably for a certain building in the Faculty of Arts. My roommates assured me that the faculty was one building. With inquiries, I would find the room.

I took the bus and got off at the „Karaliaus Mindaugo tiltas“ stop, as I always do when I go to the city. The sun was shining and I took photos of my way:

Gediminas Tower hidden behind trees, which I plan to climb with my first visitor.

The cathedral.

Gediminas Avenue.

In the background very small the Hill of Three Crosses (not to be confused with the Hill of Crosses), from which I want to see the sunset soon (supposed to be very beautiful from there). You can’t see the sunset enough, I don’t have to wait for visitors.

The building of the Faculty of Philosophy.

The courtyard of the Faculty of Arts. Until then, everything was still fine. I showed my proof of vaccination, that also worked. But then the search for the room. No one seemed to know. Everyone seemed to be new. Finally I ended up in the basement (rooms with a zero in the first place seem to be in the basement here). That’s when someone was finally able to tell me where I needed to go. BS stood for Business School and it was far away, in Saulėtekis.

That was it for my course. I missed the first lesson. But I could photograph the Gediminas Tower once again in full splendor:

Back at the stop at the river. Cry me a river.
